Expérience en opération d’équipement moderne munis de GPS et qui n’est pas intimidé par la technologie moderne. • Dossier de conduite 'propre' (aucun accident) Doit être assurable. • Une personne prête à faire un travail intense durant les semis et la récolte. • Un permis de poids lourds (Classe 1) est un atout, mais pas nécessaire. Classe 5 nécessaire. • Un non-fumeur • Propre voiture préféré, mais pas nécessaire. • Possibilité de teste de drogue

Une personne passionnée en agriculture qui est prêt à participer sur une ferme spécialisée en Techniques Culturales Simplifiées (semi-directe) en colza et blé dur.
Un non fumeur.
Une personne qui est originaire d'une exploitation familiale.
Un dossier de conduite propre (aucun accident). Doit être assurable.
Possibilité de teste de drogue


Nous offrons:
Un stage sur une ferme de grande culture spécialisée en T.C.S. (semi-directe); GPS; et ‘Precision Farming’.
Un logement sur place avec conditions.
Un mois de congé durant le mois de juillet.
Rémunération compétitive selon l'expérience.

De l'équipement récent (en majorité pas plus que 6 ans).

HERBICIDE APPLICATOR

Peace Land Management Ltd. is a 3rd generation family run grain farm located in the Municipal District of Smoky River in north-western Alberta.

We farm 4400 acres of land in Wheat and Canola.

Job Description: Application of herbicides & pesticides to 5000 acres of farm land using a John Deere 4830 High Clearance Sprayer.

Job Requirements: -Class 5 Drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
-Post-secondary education in agriculture related program. -Pesticide Applicator license would be an asset.
-Ability to operate GPS and computers. -Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team.
-An agricultural background an asset. -A positive attitude towards safety.
-Non-smoker a must. -Willingness to work long hours and weekends as well as be able to lift medium loads (50 lbs).

We offer: Modern high quality equipment, GPS equipped.

Accommodations with some meals provided.
WCB Coverage

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Based on experience. Bonus eligibility. Hours: 40+ hrs per week.

ASSISTANT CROP PRODUCTION MANAGER

Peace Land Management is a 3rd generation family run grain farm located in the MD of Smoky River in north-western Alberta. We farm 4400 acres of land in wheat and canola. We are eager to add people that have a passion for farming to our team. We strive to treat our team like family as we know that the success of our operation is due to the hard work, dedication and expertise of our employees.

The Assistant Crop Production Manager will assist in the management and production of crops.


Key responsibilities include:
-lead operator during seeding and harvest
-understand and operate GPS navigation systems used on various farm equipment -assist with maintaining crop production records
-supervise and provide guidance to farm employees especially during harvest -understand and apply agronomy knowledge to crop production -conduct repairs and maintenance on farm equipment

Job Qualifications:
-diploma or degree in Agriculture preferred.
-agronomy knowledge & farming experience required. -strong mechanical ability and skills.
-class 5 licence with a clean driver’s abstract is a must. Class 1 would be an asset. -supervisory experience an asset.
-Non-smoker a must.

Compensation:
-Salary: Yearly contract available: $55,000 - $65,000 per year. Seasonal Contract available (April - November: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. Based on experience. Bonus eligibility.
-Hours: Full time. Extended hours during seeding and harvest with reduced and flexible hours during the winter months. -Job Start Date: April (flexible on exact date).
Supper meal provided during seeding and harvest.
-Housing will be provided (possibly shared with other employees).
